Michael and Alan
We set up base camp and had 30 mins before guests arrived so decided to complete a bit of a call out to introduce ourselves to spirit.
We both instantly could feel a presence of a man. Alan had the feeling of pressure, maybe a hand holding the right side of the back of his head. Michael explained that he felt like the right hand side of his face was dropping as if he had suffered with a stroke.
We believe this was spirit was putting his impression on us telling us about his life/death.
Alan also explained that he could see the man in his minds eye. He was a tall man in his 60’s, bald with gray/white hair at the sides and he had big sideboards. He was also wearing a white apron.
We thanked spirit for coming forward and asked him to make contact again when we had our guests in.

Michael completed the welcome talk and Alan walked the team through the white light of protection.
Our plan for the evening was to move gradually down into the streets in hour long ish intervals. A couple of guests wanted to spend the evening investigating alone and we agreed that after first break they could spirit off and with such a small group remaining we decided to remain together.
Initial call out

We called out to spirits of Keighley and the entire team felt a heaviness descended. Guest started to feel sick and complain of a pressure on the back of their heads. There was reports of touching and temperature changes.
We had a couple of hits on the cat ball but not in direct response to our questioning.
We all moved into the corridor together and multiple guests reposted movement around them as if someone had ran past.
The spirit of a boy could be felt. He was under 10 years old old and seemed to be beckoning us further into the tunnels.
We continued calling out however the boy spirit seemed reluctant to join us.
We decided to take a small break and allow the smaller group to split off for the evening.

Seance and compass
We decided to complete a seance using the seated area in base camp.
We lit some candles and started to call out. We received little response when doing this.
Alan placed a compass in the centre of the table and we asked spirit to move the pointer if they would like to speak and spirit responded.
We ascertained spirits yes and no responses and started to question.
We were joined by a male spirit, he was 60+ years old. He had a stroke and explained he had died by being stabbed protecting someone.
Spirit was unable to confirm the exact year he was connected to the area but we were able to narrow him down to between 1850 - 1900. We also were given the name Joseph James. Could this have been the man Michael and Alan had channeled earlier that night?

Back into the streets we set up a pendulum experiment
We were joined by a young man, under 10 years old. He had been trying to entice us to this part of the venue to tell us why he was there. He was an orphan who died of TB. He had been cared for by a gentleman who had watched over many abandoned children in the area. The boy remained in the area as he was unable to find the gentleman. He explained that the man was very caring in nature and always made sure that he ate.

Near Brothel
Words started coming through. We were amble to get the name Bill. He was a criminal who had been to jail for hurting a man.
He started taunting Alan and the word Wallsend came through.
This was followed by a string of crude swear words so we ended the experiment
Crystal Board

We set up the Crystal board and called out to spirit. We were joined by a female spirit. This energy was really strong. We asked spirit if this was the lady whose picture had been hung in the venue recently after passing at 97.
She explained that she was. She said that her name was Edith and her mother was called Kitty. Kitty passed away at 43. She said she had never been married and happy that we were there.
The night was drawing to a close so we moved back to base camp for a de brief.

We thanked the guests for joining us this evening and Andy, the owner, joined us to answer any questions we had.
Andy confirmed a few bits for us.
Edith and Kitty were not the lady who had her picture hung but in fact they were her sisters and they did not marry.
Joseph James was actually 2 people. James was a farrier (looked after horses), who wore an apron. James had passed away after having a stroke. Joseph was his son.
Bill was confirmed as a spirit who was known to the venue. He was a nasty man who always swears and taunts guests.
The guests who had split off from us for the evening had reported the name Gertrude. Andy confirmed that Gertrude was the name of the previous owners grandmother. Her picture was recently hung in the venue also.
Wow…. What a great night we all had. The conformations at the end of the evening showed just how bang on our experiments had been.
There team was made up of a full group of first time Lone Vigil’ers and they were amazing. Loads of laughs and scares were had by all.
